The Northerners conquer at Holme Hall
We arrived at Holme Hall GC on Tuesday morning to find the weather being kind to the early starters only for the wind & rain to build up as the day went on. The course presented to us by the club was in very good condition considering the amount of rain that they had over the last few weeks and congratulations must go to their Head Greenkeeper for all his efforts. After Day 1 the leaders (Gareth Bradley, David Nelson and Nigel Lawton) all had the same score of 75.
Day 2 saw similar weather conditions with slightly stronger winds and rain at the end of the day. The greens had also been cut and ironed so this made them slightly faster than Day 1. So well done to Gareth Bradley and Richard Latham for both shooting 75
For the Nett Competition congratulations must go to Steve Leahey for shooting Nett Level Par on both days to pick up the net prize.
Congratulations also to David Nelson & Jimmy Johnston for winning The Super Seniors and Masters Scratch events

As for the Race to ESGA its very early on in the season with only 2 events played but there have been changes
Malcolm Cawte takes the lead in both the Seniors Scratch OoM over Mike White and Gareth Bradley who both have 1 win
Malcolm also takes the lead in the Super Seniors Scratch + Nett OoM over Steve Hughes and Ian Foster
In the Seniors Nett OoM Nick Dunford extends his lead
In the Masters OoM Ian Dawkins now takes the lead over Robert Afia
