Bradley dominates at Stanton
As we completed our Midland tour at Stanton on probably the best greens of the season so far, G Bradley took the Gold Medal with 67+73. Les Bruckner (Hindhead GC) returned to form with 72+72 to take the silver medal and Mike Ready (The Melbourne Club) with 74+71 took the Bronze on the back 18. All three players had won their matches on the previous day against a very strong Midland County Champions team. Steve Mason (Wakefield GC) 72+73 although losing out on back 18 won the 65+ event with Stephen Whymark (Woodbridge GC) winning the Masters with 79+75. In a very close Handicap event 4 players finished on nett 142 with the back 9 leaving Les Bruckner, Philip Graham(Minchinhampton GC) Martin Fell (Ladbrook Pk) and G Bradley in this order but all claiming 250 pts. As ever Stanton made us feel very welcome and our thanks go to everybody involved and the Vice Captain Jeff Heywood who kindly presented the prizes.
