Bramall shines in the sun at Frilford

Phil Bramall (Chart Hills GC) won the Gold Medal on the Red course with a 1 under 143 from Dougie Cameron (Worthing GC) 70+75 who also collected 250pts by winning the S/Snrs division. In 3rd place was Peter Harrison (The Wisley GC) with 72+75 with more good scores from Mike Ready (The Melbourne Club) on 147 and Paul Knight (Wanstead GC) in 5th on 148.

Also scoring points in many OOMs was Chris Reynolds (Littlestone GC))who was 2nd to D Cameron in the S/Snrs event but the winner in the Masters event with Roy Smethurst (Crewe GC)in 2nd and Hugh Purvis (Long Ashton GC)in 3rd place. Peter Lockett used his home knowledge to good effect finishing 3rd in the S/Snrs.

The handicap prize was very close with the top 3 all on nett 141 with Rob Turner (Stockbrook Manor GC) winning on countback from Terrry Croker (Bishops Stortford GC) and Peter Harrison.

We look forward to our return to Frilford next year and playing the Green Course but next it is off to ClitheroeGC
