UKSGA start 2021 at Aberdovey where only the weather was less than perfect
Nigel Chesters (Hawkestone Pk) won his first UKSGA event by one shot from fellow debutant Stephen Mason (Wakefield GC) with Gareth Bradley (Bramhall GC) one shot behind in 3rd place. Michael Charles (Sandy Lodge GC) also playing in his first event led after Day one with 72 which was the low round of the event but slipped on day 2 finishing in a very creditable 7th=.The final statement from our new members was from Simon Larner Chelmsford GC) who won the nett prize with 146 tied with Nigel Chesters.
The other newcomer to our party was the WHS and the PCC now known as PIECE OF CAKE for its simplicity! and we thank IG for getting all the scores back to the players home clubs along with Susie at Aberdovey GC and Golf Genius for being on standby just in case. Finally many congratulations to Neil Franklin who had a Hole in one on the 12th
As some players move onto Wallasey GC and others return across the border without a problem (Note EG) to prepare for the English Seniors the UKSGA will meet again in 2 weeks at Frilford GC but say a massive thank you to all at Aberdovey and look forward to returning there in July 2022
