UKSGA Entry Conditions

General Conditions of Entry

The tournament shall be decided by strokes over 36 holes, 18 each day, which shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf and with the Local Rules as approved by the Committee.

60 applicants shall be eligible to compete but some meetings may be able to accommodate additional entrants. Play shall be from the Medal Tees. Ties shall be decided on the lowest gross score for the last 18 holes (or 9 or 6 or 3 or 1).

It will be obligatory for all competitors to play with a ball that is named on the current list of R & A conforming 1.68 golf balls and to use conforming drivers. Copy of the lists will be with the official starter.

The use of Distance Measuring Devices is permitted in UKSGA events.

Qualifications

Competitors MUST be aged 55 years on the date of the event and MUST be a paid up member of the UK Seniors Golf Association. Entry may be limited to 60 and entries will only be accepted with payment of the Entry Fee. If this number is exceeded and the course cannot accommodate extra numbers there will be a ballot for the last places amongst the higher handicap players.

Catering requirements will be the responsibility of individual competitors and must be arranged directly with the hosting club at least one week in advance of the event.

Entries

Please send the completed Entry Form together with a stamped addressed envelope (if you wish to receive a start sheet by post) to the Tournament Secretary at the address on the Entry Form to arrive no later than the first post on the closing date.  A Start Sheet will be posted on the web site asap after the closing date.

Entry Fees are not transferable and will not be refunded after the issue of the Start Sheet
